Canvasback, Inc. was founded in the early 1990s by Missy, an energetic outdoor enthusiast from Ketchum, Idaho. As an avid skier and dog owner, she was frustrated with how her vehicle’s back end would constantly get dirty and damaged from wet skis, muddy sports gear, and her dogs. To solve this problem, she innovated a waterproof, fabric cargo liner that not only covered the cargo area but also extended up the back of the seats in her SUV, offering total protection and functionality. This led to the creation of Canvasback custom cargo liners.
In 2006, the company changed hands, being sold to another passionate skier who also had an SUV and an active dog. Our operations are now based in Minnesota, on the picturesque shores of Lake Minnetonka. We take pride in the fact that our products are sewn locally, maintaining our commitment to being made in the USA.

We’re Unique and Expanding! Since the initial development of Canvasback, we have remained one of the top cargo liner brands on the market, with satisfied customers continually fueling our growth. Our product’s uniqueness lies in its custom fit for hundreds of makes and models. By partnering with local car dealerships, we stay up to date on the latest vehicle trends and take the time to custom-design each cargo liner, accommodating a variety of features and variations. We’ve expanded our product line to offer customers even more interior vehicle protection options, including bumper flaps, seat covers, cargo side pieces, seat barriers, and other fun accessories.
